Tibetan people express solidarity with and support for the Chinese Democracy Movement June 01, 2009: As we approach the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, exile Tibetans stand in solidarity with the Chinese democracy movement and express support for their demand for freedom, human rights and democracy in China. In commemorating twenty years since the watershed event in the history of contemporary China, we condemn the brutal manner with which the heavily armed troops suppressed and killed the unarmed pro-democracy protestors and bystanders.

TWA Marks 14 years in Captivity of the 20 year old 11th Panchen Lama of Tibet May 17, 2009: 14 years of enforced disappearance, incarceration and coerced incommunicado of Tibet's 11th Panchen Lama has borne its heavy brunt on the exile Tibetans and the world at large. With no access to verifiable information about Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the then six year old boy from Nagchu District, Tibet, who on 14th May s 1995, was identified by H.H the Dalai Lama to be the 11th Panchen Lama of Tibet, the concern about his safety and whereabouts is mounting and the patience of the Tibetans is wearing its thinnest armor.

Tibetan Women mark the 'International Mother's Day' with Unfeigned Fervor On May 10, Tibetan Women across the globe will mark and celebrate 'International Mother's Day'; a day that signifies peace and unity. Fifty years ago, Tibetan Women created history by wearing the political armor and resisting a brute force that ravaged and challenged the history of Tibet. Fifty years thence, wearing a strong valor, Tibetan Women have continued with the struggle and this time the struggle is two-fold; inside and outside of Tibet and dons a mature outlook and a heightened significance.

Tibetan NGOs strongly condemn Chinese court's verdict of sentencing three Tibetan women for the charges relating to arson cases of 14 March 2008. April 21, 2009, Dharamsala: Xinhua, the official mouthpiece of Chinese government, today reported the sentencing of Penkyi (aged 21) of Sakya County to "suspended death penalty", Penkyi (aged 23) from Nyinmo County to life term and Chime Lhamo (aged 20) to 10 years imprisonment for starting fires in two downtown clothing shops on March 14, 2008.

Tibetans condemn the death sentences passed by China 15 April, Dharamsala: Tibetan NGOs condemn the recent death sentences passed by China. We are gravely concerned about the fate of Lobsang Gyaltsen and Loyak who were given death sentences, Tenzin Phuntsok and Kangtsuk who were given suspended death sentences with two-year reprieves, and Dawa Sangpo who was given a life sentence.
