TWA president attends the 20th anniversary of Swiss Tibetan Women’s Association

8th November, 2008: TWA Switzerland invited the president of Central Tibetan Women’s Association as the chief guest to mark the 20th anniversary of Tibetan Women’s Association, Switzerland. The day-long exclusive event was attended by the members of TWA Switzerland and the members of the Tibetan community in Swiss including the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, former parliamentarians and heads of the NGOs based in Switzerland. The representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave an encouraging speech. Tsering Dorjee Sangling, former ATPD (Assembly of Tibetan People’s Deputies) member from Europe applauded the achievements of Swiss Tibetan Women’s Association for the last twenty years and encouraged them to continue with their efforts in accomplishing the convictions of the brave sisters of Tibet who sacrificed their precious lives for the just cause of Tibet.
9th November, 2008: TWA president had a six-hour exclusive meeting with the executive and regional members of the Tibetan Women’s Association, Switzerland to facilitate a fair and a free dissemination of information and gathering of ideas, opinions and suggestions in the light of the forthcoming November Special Meeting to be held in Dharamsala, the seat of Tibetan government in exile.
5th November, 2008: TWA president B.Tsering along with the president of TWA Switzerland Dechen Emchi attended the Swiss National Women's Organization's annual meeting. Tibetan Women’s Association, Switzerland is affiliated with Swiss National Women's Organization. There were 27 heads of different women's groups besides the President, Vice President and General Secretary of the national group. B Tsering expounded on the activities of Tibetan Women’s Association, its aims and objectives. TWA president also appealed the other fellow sisters of the world to pay attention to what the Tibetan women are subjected to and significantly to the aspirations of the Tibetan women.
12th November, 2008: B Tsering lak had a working lunch cum meeting with the president and vice president of Swiss National Women's Organization’s President and Vice President.
